Virginia Hylton Park

There’s space for little ones and bigger kids, a splash pad in the warmer months, and shaded areas where you can sit for a moment while they play.
There’s even a small creek and walking trails—something about it invites you to slow down.
One of the best playgrounds in Lexington.
Doko Meadows Park

This one feels open and calm.
Wide fields, walking paths, and a playground that’s safe and contained. It’s gated, with soft ground, which makes it especially peaceful if you have little ones who like to wander.

We love this one! There are climbing structures, swings, and plenty of room for children to explore in their own way.
You can walk along the water, bring a snack, and stay longer than you planned.
It’s a place for slow afternoons.
Finlay Park

Right in the heart of the city, this recently renovated park offers wide open spaces, a large playground, and plenty of room for children to run freely.
There are often food trucks nearby, and you can even rent roller skates—something a little different that makes the day feel special. A small water stream runs through part of the park where little ones can dip their feet, and a splash pad adds extra fun on warmer days.
It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed family Sunday afternoon.
