There are some sessions that leave a mark on your heart forever—and this was one of them.
Our recent breastfeeding group photoshoot in downtown Columbia, SC was more than just a photography session. It was a celebration of motherhood, connection, and the quiet, powerful beauty of breastfeeding.
This event is especially close to my heart because I breastfed all my babies. It shaped so much of my early motherhood journey, and I know firsthand how sacred—and sometimes vulnerable—those moments can be. To stand among so many strong, loving mamas and their sweet babies, capturing their bond, was incredibly special. Babies are truly what I love the most in the world, and being surrounded by them during this session filled my heart to the brim.
What touched me most was seeing how empowering this event was for the new mamas who are still growing into their confidence—especially when it comes to nursing in public. There was a quiet strength in the way they supported each other, in the way they showed up for themselves and their babies. It reminded me of the village that so many of us crave in those early days of motherhood.
The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. With the charm of downtown Columbia as our backdrop, and the sound of giggles and coos in the air—it was simply lovely.
I’m already counting down the days until we do it again. It’s my dream to host this event every year and continue creating a space where mothers feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
If you’d like to be informed about future events like this one, I’d love to hear from you. Just send me a message, and I’ll make sure you’re on the list.
With love,
Pola
